Did you know that colors can directly affect your mood? Stress relief through color therapy is one of the most effective yet inexpensive ways to shake off all the stress in your body. First of all, think about the colors found all around us, in the nature.

The blue of the sky, the cruel green of the spring grass, the deep red of a glowing sunset or even the grey heavy clouds have the power to influence the human beings. Instinctively, we react to their meanings and respond to their effects by calming down or relaxing when it comes to certain colors, for example.

The only difficulty would be to label the effects of each color in what concerns the stress relief through color therapy, as people are different entities and each one reacts differently to the same color. For example in stress relief through color therapy, the grey color can induce a positive anticipation to some people, while for others it only represents dread. Sometimes, it all depends on the general surroundings: people surrounded by bright colors (like the ones living in Africa, for example) will be joyful at the prospect of grey heavy clouds, while people from England are more prone to consider the color unwelcome.

When it comes to other colors though, the effect is general, regardless the individual. For stress reduction through color therapy, an often-used color is dark blue, which is usually associated with the calming effect of the night, a moment of rest for the human body and spirit alike.

* Therefore, if you want a good sleep at night, you can use a dark blue color for painting the bedroom.

* If you feel like you have no energy left and need some energizing elements, than you can use for stress reduction through color therapy objects that are related to the beginning of a fresh day, such as red, yellow or orange.
