The Relationship Between Stress Physical Symptoms

There are many definitions of stress. It is not possible to mention all of them here. One good definition from a high school psychology textbook defines stress as:

" Stress is a particular pattern of disturbing psychological reactions that occur when an environment event threatens important motives and taxes one's ability to cope."

In simple English, stress is a phenomenon that we all feel and reflect through our actions. But we need to draw a line between good and bad stress. No stress in life can also create some stress. A little bit stress helps us in improving our self and searching for the best. Stress gives us new challenges and it also gives us the confidence to tackle it. But this all happens if we manage stress efficiently. If we can't then we'll be overtaken by it. In short, we can?t avoid stress because it is an integral part of our life.

CAUSES OF STRESS PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS:

There are many causes of stress depending on the gender, age, occupation etc. The factor of your stress could be your family or the way in which the world is treating you. Your stress can also come because of the defects in your own personalities like time management, inexperience, irresponsibility, attitude etc. It also depends on your perception. The thing that you feel is stressful might not look same to another man.

- It depends on how you look at life. Most of the time stress is the result of your mentality. Stress has many affects on our mind as well as on our body. It also changes our behaviour as well.

Stress physical symptoms are different for different persons. But one thing that is common is that stress can bring harmful results for your mind and for your body. There have been many books written on the stress physical symptoms we'll mention only the most common ones:

1- The most common symptom is headache.

2- Another common symptom which is usual in teenagers during exams is digestive problems.

3- Fatigue is also a symptom of stress.

4- When your mind is not free from stress, and you are continuously thinking about your worries, then you might face sleeping disturbance.

5- Stress also affects your muscles and you usually feel pain.

6- Especially in an older age, you might come across irregular heartbeat because of stress.

7- A common symptom found in adults in high blood pressure.

8- Stress can also affect your weight in an increasing or decreasing way.

9- Stress can cause skin problems, particularly in women.

10- When you are under stress, you don?t feel like having sex with your partner. It decreases your sex drive.

11- Some people eat more when they are in stress while other eat less under stress.

12- Sleep less or more.

13- Stress can also result in certain habits like nail biting etc.

14- When you are under stress, you get depressed, your isolate yourself from the rest.

15- Another most common example is to lose temper.

One should remember that the signs and stress physical symptoms vary because they are related with the individual's physical and psychological condition. The best option is to consult a doctor to discuss the stress physical symptoms.
