Being an older adult and being of the teenage years are not much different when you are talking about stress. The peer pressure teen stress is significantly high. All sorts of circumstances may occur to cause this stress. These circumstances may leave the teen feeling they are in a hard to change condition with no place to find help with the damages to their health and feelings it can cause.
Problems that can cause peer pressure teen stress
Teens have a multitude of issues that can cause them anxiety. The two major settings for this peer pressure teen stress are in their home lives and in the school setting. The stressors are many and diverse. Their feelings can be affected by some of the issues listed below.
* The feelings that others and also inside themselves tell them they should do and how they should perform.
* Peer pressure teen stress is also caused by the way they feel they are viewed by adults in the school setting.
* The peer pressure teen stress to perform in the grades and work they do.
* Problems with socializing with other teens.
* Problems at home with family members.
* The way their body is changing due to puberty. This may be outward changes or inward changes.
* Having a low self worth.
* Always having verbal conflicts with their mom and dad. Or the mom and dad fighting all the time.

Healthy teens will find a calm and peaceful way to deal with the feelings they have from anxiety. This might be in talking to a friend about what is going and them being able to let it go in a positive way to continue with a normal life. They may want to listen to music when they are stressed or seek comfort through the T.V. they might even have a talk with their family to help with ways of dealing properly with the issues. The process teens go through in dealing with peer pressure teen stress can be a positive foundation for their adult lives.
Teens who do not find healthy outlets for anxiety often get so overwhelmed by it all they may become physically sick, want to end their life, be angry all the time, become a loner, or turn to drugs and alcohol to forget.
By making a good start in the healing process, the life they experience will be a good one. Stress will not be so bad for them. By also enforcing positive lifestyle habits, it will give them a basis for keeping a strong will.
- This may include a healthy diet, exercise program, reduction of caffeinated drinks, no want to turn to dangerous items like drugs or smoking to avoid issues, and finding ways to help them to relax.
- A positive attitude can go a long way in coping with all of life's pressure. When a stressor arrives, take it one piece at a time and try not to focus on the whole picture all at once. It will make it easier for them to deal with.
Teach the teen to think of them as important and do not allow negative gossip about others or themselves. Writing down feelings in a journal may also be a way to help. When you learn new and positive ways to deal with life and all it can bring, remember nothing is as bad as it was once thought. Never is anything bad enough to consider suicide. A positive parent or adult will be an asset to them when they need someone to turn to. The way they learn to cope now may very well lead to a successful adult later on.
