- The length of the stressors may be the reason for stomach problems and this may result in diarrhea and constipation. You might even find you have an ulcer or two to go with the other problems.

Those with high stress may choose to eat when they fell bad. This unfortunately causes eating disorders to appear and the individual to become overweight. You can also be affected by the problems of not being able to eat at all and therefore begin to become too small. Diabetes is also in the mix. For those with an existing problem like arthritis, the effects of stress on health can aggravate the symptoms. Sex drive is lowered and there may be problems with sexual performance or the ability to conceive.

Cancer, being diabetic, bad immune system function, the abuse of alcohol, using drugs, and heart disease are all in the mix when stress is involved. Stress can be a very damaging thing to the body in multiple ways. The best defense in dealing with this is to learn to deal with the stress properly.
