Apart from its other benefits, water works marvelously to soothe the injuries relating to spine, joints and bones etc. as water exercises relieve the pain and bring comfort to the whole body as well as the injured part. But water exercises might not work well for those having arthritis, but it still relieves the stress and is equally enjoyed by the healthy people as well.
The feeling of being weightless is much soothing and pacifying while the body floats on water. This exercise lowers the stress level bringing calm and relaxation to the whole mind and body. The comfort gained while floating is usually associated with the floating of human beings in their mother’s womb.
Due to the floatability of the water, the body weight gets a good support, especially in lessening the pressure on the joints, which usually bear the pressure of the body weight. Another wrong inhibition among people is that the knowledge of swimming is necessary. This is not true. Such water exercises are done in waist-chest deep water. You may find a number of public swimming pools and recreation clubs that offer water exercise classes. Make sure about the water temperature, before the class, as the warmer temperature brings more soothing as compared to a colder one. It also is good for arthritis and joints problem.
