Juggling Profession and Personal Life - Teachers' Stress

For a schoolteacher, a 24 hours day is not sufficient to get done all the chores jotted down in the day’s list. Apart from the duties in school, there are innumerable things ranging from the domestic work to the semi-preparation of the next day’s works to be done back home too, which include a piece of time to get themselves relaxed.

The responsibilities in school comprise of not only teaching of lessons but they have to manage their classroom schedule along with the laying out of curriculum plan, discussing it with the senior professionals and applying it regularly. All these tasks are so much time taking and exhausting both physically and mentally.

Dealing with all such problems is quite difficult, especially when you do not know the techniques of time management.

o You must be aware of certain important tasks that you are required to do daily.

o Making a time schedule for yourself would help you set a regularized schedule for yourself.

o Note down all the tasks you do, from packing of lunchboxes to the time consumed in transportation, which will make you understand where the major part of your precious time is being wasted.

o This practice is necessary without which you won’t be able to manage your time successfully.

By prioritizing the task, it becomes easy to rearrange the To-Do list. Though in the beginning it seems quite difficult, as you are not used to say “no” to the less important commitment, which is also time consuming apart from being tiresome. The best way is to simplify your day by regularizing your schedule and take some time out for your own self too, so a stress attack can be avoided too.

o One way of handling this situation is to try the time management tips and tricks.

o Another way is to learn from your colleagues on how to manage your time, and save some big moments for your own self too.

o Sharing your feelings, experiences and ideas on different forums, especially on the internet is also helpful.

o Your colleagues would also be ready to lend a hand in supporting you to learn these techniques.

If an educator has not managed his time properly, it is going to affect not even himself, but his domestic life as well as the professional line. The chores back home would not be completed in time, and the classroom schedule could not be followed, thus the suffering is not only for the teacher herself, but the students are going to suffer too.
